SEGA is gearing up for a thrilling experience as it announces an Open Network Test for its upcoming racing game, Sonic Racing Cross World. This event is set to run for a limited time from August 29 (Friday) 1:00 PM to September 2 (Tuesday) 1:00 PM (JST), allowing fans to get an early taste of the game on various platforms, including PlayStation®5, Nintendo Switch™, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, and Epic Games.

Special Event: P5R Joker Festival

As part of the Open Network Test, players will have the chance to engage in a limited-time event called P5R Joker Festival from August 31 (Sunday) 1:00 PM to September 1 (Monday) 1:00 PM (JST). During this festivity, racers can take control of the special collaborator, Joker, and the unique vehicle, Arsène Wing, for an exhilarating ride. Keep in mind, the racer Joker and Arsène Wing will be available via a free update post-launch, with no specific date yet announced.

Open Network Test Details

• - Objective: The purpose of the Open Network Test is to verify the functionality of online matches and identify any potential issues. Participants will receive in-game rewards, including a sticker and a title, for use in the full version of the game upon its release.
• - Participation Incentives: Early test players have the opportunity to earn exclusive stickers and titles that can be carried over to the full game.

Players can gather festive points that will unlock exciting in-game items like stickers and sounds.

The game features a roster of 23 racers, the largest in the series’ history.
