Hain Celestial Expands U.S. Distribution with New Savannah Facility

Hain Celestial Expands U.S. Distribution Network

Hain Celestial Group, Inc., a prominent player in the health and wellness sector, is accomplishing a significant milestone in its logistics capabilities. With the anticipated launch of its fourth distribution center in Savannah, Georgia, this new facility is a crucial step towards doubling the organization’s capacity across the United States. This strategic decision aligns with Hain Celestial's overarching mission to inspire healthier living and enhances its operational efficiencies.

Since its inception, the company has been dedicated to delivering better-for-you brands globally. The new distribution center will serve a vital role in improving delivery speeds and product availability while trimming down transportation expenses. It will enable Hain to enhance customer satisfaction through timely deliveries, reflecting a commitment to expanding its footprint throughout the nation.

Transformative Expansion

The Savannah distribution facility is being hailed as a noteworthy addition, marking the completion of a multi-year effort that aims to improve service quality. According to Steve Golliher, Chief Supply Chain Officer at Hain Celestial, “We're actively designing a more agile and robust distribution network to optimize our supply chain nationwide.” This facility is expected to cut down delivery distances by an impressive 66% annually, allowing for a quicker and more efficient process in delivering Hain's variety of products including snacks, beverages, baby foods, and meal preparations.

Following this expansion, customers will experience a more responsive service, with an expected 15% increase in the number of consumers reachable within 1-2 transit days. Additionally, the initiative will potentially save millions in fuel and maintenance costs due to reduced delivery mileage, estimated to be around 2.6 million miles less each year.

Network Overview

Historically, Hain Celestial operated two distribution centers located in Southern California and Central Pennsylvania. In December 2024, it took a step further by adding a third center in Chicago. The strategic placement of the Savannah facility creates a more geographically centered distribution network to adapt to varying customer demands, ensuring timely delivery of products that meets consumer needs effectively. The collaborative efforts with a third-party logistics company will also provide scalable space and enhance throughput effectiveness across its facilities.

This transformation initiative, which started in the spring of 2023, underscores the company's devotion to operational excellence and supports the twin pillars of the Hain Reimagined strategy—Fuel and Build. By improving distribution logistics, Hain Celestial is not only poised for growth but is also focusing on sustainability by reducing carbon footprints associated with transportation.

A Commitment to Better Living

Hain Celestial has long been a champion of health and wellness, with a commitment to producing high-quality, nutritious products that positively impact consumers and the planet. For over 30 years, the company has marketed and sold its diverse array of products including Garden Veggie Snacks™, Celestial Seasonings® teas, and Earth's Best® baby foods across more than 70 countries. This expansion is poised to further enhance their mission by ensuring their health-promoting products are accessible to more families across the U.S.
