Nominations Now Open for the 2026 Coolest Thing Made in Colorado Contest

The Colorado Chamber of Commerce has kicked off the nominations for the much-anticipated fifth annual Coolest Thing Made in Colorado competition, proudly sponsored by PNC Bank. This initiative aims to showcase the diverse and vibrant manufacturing landscape of Colorado, bringing to light the innovative products crafted within the state.

A Celebration of Local Ingenuity

Loren Furman, the President and CEO of the Colorado Chamber, expressed enthusiasm for the contest's fifth anniversary, remarking, "This year marks five years of celebrating the incredible products made right here in Colorado and the manufacturers behind them." He emphasizes the importance of manufacturing to Colorado's economy, stating that it's a sector that continually drives progress and innovation.

The competition not only highlights cutting-edge technologies but also recognizes everyday consumer goods that play a crucial role in the lives of Coloradans. From locally produced food items to advanced electronics, the contest aims to cover a broad spectrum of what Colorado has to offer.

Nomination Process and Timeline

Nominations for the contest will remain open until July 29, 2026, at noon. Following this period, an independent panel of judges will meticulously review all submissions and select the top 10 finalists by October.

On November 12, these finalists will be celebrated at a special awards banquet organized by the Colorado Chamber, where the 2026 winner will be revealed and awarded the coveted Coolest Thing Made in Colorado trophy.

This year's contest is particularly special as it underscores the partnership between PNC Bank and the Colorado Chamber, a collaboration that has been foundational in promoting the innovation and economic impact of local manufacturing.
