The 2025 Local Ramen Election: A Unique Delivery Experience

From November 26 to November 30, 2025, the vibrant suburb of Shinjuku will host the much-anticipated 2025 Local Ramen Election at Ohkubo Park. This festival brings together the top contenders representing various regional styles of ramen across Japan. Organized in collaboration with the renowned TOKYO RAMEN SHOW and Otsuke Men Hakko, this event showcases the essence of Japan’s rich ramen culture.

A Celebration of Local Flavors

The event is not just about noodles; it’s a competition where ten finalists will battle it out to be crowned the best local ramen in Japan. Each finalist carries the hopes and dreams of their hometowns, having triumphed in fierce preliminary rounds held nationwide. With the support of the ramen-loving audience, they will compete for this prestigious title in Tokyo.

For ramen enthusiasts unable to attend in person, menu plans to offer a delivery service from the event venue. Customers within a 6 km radius of Ohkubo Park can enjoy the same delicious ramen for 1,100 yen (including tax), directly from the comfort of their homes or offices.

How the Delivery Works

Using the menu app, users can order from the selected ten ramen options. With the excitement of the event just a few taps away, ramen lovers can avoid the crowds and the weather while experiencing the unique flavors of local ramen. The ramen will be showcased in the app at the same price as at the venue, making it an attractive option for many.

To enhance the experience, menu is also launching a campaign during the election period. For every order over 1,100 yen, customers will receive a 300-yen coupon, effectively allowing them to enjoy a bowl for just 800 yen. In addition, those who submit reviews via the menu app could win a 5,000-yen coupon as part of a special giveaway.

Meet the Finalists

While attending the event or ordering via delivery, customers can taste various ramen styles, such as:
  • - Kobutori Chuka Soba: A collaboration featuring authentic kelp from Hakodate, emphasizing the pride of Japan’s primary industries.
