Unlocking the Future: A Seminar on Strategic English Learning for Students

Discover the Future of English Learning at J PREP's Seminar

J PREP Inc., led by the esteemed Jun Saito, is hosting a free seminar tailored for students from 5th grade to the first year of high school and their parents. Scheduled for June 7, 2026, at the J PREP Yotsuya Campus, this event titled "How to Utilize Your Summer Break? Enhancing Your English Skills for Future Success" focuses on approaching English education with a backward-thinking strategy.

In the current educational landscape, the way we learn English is shifting dramatically. It's crucial not just to learn English for the sake of it, but to consider how it aligns with future aspirations. The skills required for university entrance exams in Japan are evolving, and pursuing studies abroad opens up global opportunities in learning and careers.

During the seminar, Jun Saito, a former Yale University assistant professor and founder of J PREP, will draw on his extensive experience advising students and parents on navigating domestic and international academic pathways. Participants can expect insights on current trends in entrance exam patterns and various English proficiency tests, along with strategies for effective preparation that lead to a successful future in English learning.

The seminar format encourages interaction, allowing attendees to ask questions throughout the presentation. Participants will engage in a setting resembling a roundtable discussion, addressing inquiries related to English learning, career paths, exam strategies, and study methods. Here are some questions that will be addressed:

  • - What preparations are necessary to study abroad or for international university admissions?
  • - What aspects of English learning should students focus on this summer for domestic university entrance exams?
  • - What kinds of English skills are essential at different educational stages - elementary, middle, and high school?
  • - What common pitfalls exist in vocabulary learning, and how can parents provide effective support?
