Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation Announces $1 Million Grant Matching Initiative to Support Military Families

Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation Renewed Initiative

The Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation (CFPF) recently announced a significant renewal of a unique opportunity for donors to contribute to military children's education. Through a $1 million matching grant funded by Admiral Bill McRaven, this initiative aims to extend educational support for children whose parents made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. This match will be effective until July 31, 2026, allowing any eligible donations during this period to be doubled, up to the stated limit. This is particularly timely as the nation prepares to celebrate its 250th anniversary in 2026, providing a poignant reminder of the sacrifices made by military families.

The Impact of Your Contribution

With this matching grant, every dollar donated can significantly amplify its impact, channeling resources directly into fulfilling educational aspirations for children of fallen heroes. The Grants offered by Fallen Patriots provide life-changing opportunities for children through scholarships, educational assistance, and career support. Notably, without any aid, only 20% of these children would complete their college education, but astonishingly, with the support from Fallen Patriots, this graduation rate leaps to 91%, well above the national average.

Who Benefits?

The organization serves a diverse group of beneficiaries—52% of the children come from low-income families, and 38% are the first in their families to pursue higher education. Moreover, according to independent evaluations by the Bridgespan Group, every dollar invested in a Fallen Patriots scholar yields an impressive 16 times return on investment, equating to an average increase of $405,000 in lifetime earnings for these students.

A Call to Action

The renewed matching opportunity allows both first-time donors and existing supporters wishing to increase their contributions to double their financial impact. This is not only a chance to extend academic assistance but also an opportunity to honor the sacrifices of their parents. Contributions can help defray costs associated with college applications, tutoring services, test preparation, and much more.

David Kim, Co-Founder and CEO of the foundation, poignantly stated, "Behind every uniform is a family that also serves and sacrifices." He urges corporate and individual givers, promoting the chance to support those who have made sacrifices for the nation while simultaneously ensuring that their children have access to opportunities for success.
