The Largest Anime Industry Job Fair: WakuWork 2027 Set to Connect Graduates with 45 Companies

Introducing WakuWork 2027

WakuWork Co., Ltd., based in Taito, Tokyo, will host the anime industry job fair "WakuWork 2027" on March 3rd and 4th, 2026. This event has been strategically designed for new graduates wishing to enter the anime industry.

The growing significance of recruiting fresh talent in the anime sector has prompted WakuWork to conduct this extensive two-day job fair featuring 45 exhibitors, marking a record increase from the previous year’s 39 companies. Currently, over 600 tickets have been reserved, suggesting that more than 1000 attendees will participate in this momentous event, making it the largest job fair of its kind.

A Glimpse into WakuWork

WakuWork commenced its journey in May 2016, orchestrating seminars focused on "Working in the Anime Industry" which involved insights from active industry professionals. The inaugural anime-focused job fair, "WakuWork 2018," took place in April 2017, providing a specialized platform for anime-related career opportunities. Since then, the organization has consistently held such job fairs every March, even throughout the challenging pandemic years of 2020, 2021, and 2022.

Promise of Inclusivity

The central theme of "WakuWork 2027" continues to echo the initial sentiment—"You don’t need to be able to draw!" This fair invites a multitude of enterprises beyond just anime studios such as production companies, merchandise makers, and anime-themed media, thereby offering a vast array of options for students and graduates.
