Simul International Expands AI Interpretation Services

In September 2025, Simul International, a leading player in the interpretation and translation sector in Japan, is increasing its AI interpretation services. The company, headquartered in Chuo, Tokyo, has announced the launch of 'interprefy NOW', a new product that complements its existing AI interpretation service, 'interprefy AI'. This expansion aims to provide diverse options for companies and organizations requiring simultaneous interpretation in various environments.

Since its inception, Simul International has been a trusted partner of Interprefy, a Swiss company, forming a partnership in 2019 to offer Remote Simultaneous Interpretation (RSI) for international conferences and crucial business meetings. The RSI service has been widely endorsed in Japan, with more than 7,700 uses and over 400 corporate clients. Moreover, in July 2024, Simul introduced the AI simultaneous interpretation service, 'interprefy AI', which enables interpretation in any language without an interpreter's involvement, thus enhancing accessibility.

Now, with the launch of 'interprefy NOW' on September 8, 2025, businesses can leverage AI simultaneous interpretation for face-to-face meetings without needing prior reservations, making multilingual communication much more straightforward.

Features of 'interprefy NOW'

'interprefy NOW' is equipped with a user-friendly mobile interface designed specifically for smartphones. This means that it can be used in various settings such as business meetings, training sessions, guided tours, and hosting international guests. Whether it be a casual chat or a sudden meeting, this service allows for real-time AI interpretation, elevating understanding and interaction in conversations where a traditional interpreter might not be available.

- Multi-language Support: Offers AI interpretation for over 80 languages in face-to-face meetings.
- User-Friendly: Operate with a smartphone—simply scan a QR code to select the desired language and press a button during speech.
- Flexible Pricing: Provided on a prepaid basis with 20-hour plans starting at 312,000 yen (excluding tax).

Launch Details:

- Launch Date: September 8, 2025
- Pricing: The annual 20-hour plan starts from 312,000 yen (exclusive of tax) to 343,200 yen (inclusive of tax), with a minimum contract of 20 hours. An initial setup fee of 78,000 yen (exclusive of tax) is applicable.
- Trial Offer: Users can test the service with a 7-day free trial to experience its performance and translation quality.
