DuraStat Forms Exclusive Partnership with Medtronic
In a significant step towards revolutionizing spine surgery solutions, DuraStat LLC has announced an exclusive partnership with Medtronic’s Advanced Energy division. This collaboration aims to enhance clinical delivery through improved surgical techniques and will be particularly beneficial for spine surgeons across the United States.
DuraStat, known for its innovative surgical tissue closure technology, is amplifying its reach through this alignment with Medtronic's Cranial and Spinal Technologies Operating Unit. This partnership is strategic, intending to propel DuraStat's flagship products—DuraStat, a spinal dural repair solution, and TissueStat, a minimally invasive spine fascial closure device—into more surgical facilities nationwide.

Adam Azzara, CEO of DuraStat, expressed his enthusiasm about the partnership. He stated, "Together we are positioned to rapidly fulfill the vision of placing DuraStat and TissueStat on the shelf at every facility performing spine surgery. It’s an ideal fit; simple, cost-effective, and clinically accepted products paired with an extensive and expert network to optimize customer support."
The partnership officially began in November 2024, paving the way for the anticipated launch of the next generation of DuraStat and a full-scale commercial rollout of TissueStat. This collaborative effort signifies a concerted push towards not just increasing availability but also optimizing the support systems surrounding the use of these innovative products.
