Smartee Expands European Presence at EAS 2026

Smartee Denti-Technology, a global leader in clear aligner solutions, recently made a significant impact at the 7th Congress of the European Aligner Society (EAS) held in Brussels from April 16 to 18, 2026. This congress celebrated the 10th anniversary of the EAS and attracted over 1,000 participants from 65 countries under the theme of "Next Generation Aligners."

The three-day event primarily focused on advancements in aligner science, clinical innovation, and digital workflows. Key topics discussed included the integration of AI-based treatment planning, 3D printing, and patient-specific biomechanics into modern orthodontics, revolutionizing how practitioners approach their cases.

Innovations in Mandibular Repositioning and Early Intervention

Smartee's contributions to the congress were highlighted by two clinical sessions addressing complex orthodontic challenges, particularly the management of severe mandibular discrepancies. On April 17, Dr. Te Wang, a prominent member of Professor Gang Shen’s orthodontic team at the Shanghai TaiKang Dental Hospital, delivered a presentation on a novel transparent system, S8-SGTB. This innovative technology is designed to correct severe Class II mandibular discrepancies through a repositioning and advancement system.

Dr. Wang's presentation outlined how Smartee's S8-SGTB aligners leverage mandibular repositioning and advancement (MART) principles to effectively treat complex skeletal Class II cases. On the congress’s opening day, Dr. Vélez Lagunes presented a comprehensive three-part session titled, "Smartee Clear Aligner Innovative Approaches to Intercept and Correct Malocclusion in Growing Patients."

Her talks emphasized the integration of mandibular advancement systems with early intervention strategies for growing patients. She underscored the importance of guiding facial growth during development to reduce the necessity for more invasive treatments later on. Following her session, Dr. Thomas Felkai showcased clinical cases illustrating the application of mandibular advancement technology alongside practical examples of how Smartee solutions, like the S11 arch expander, can be incorporated into treatment protocols for effectively managing cases requiring arch expansion.

Attendees showed great interest, actively engaging with in-depth questions regarding the biomechanics of mandibular advancement and the practical integration of Smartee’s S11 arch expanders. Many clinicians expressed a genuine desire to adopt Smartee technology within their practices.

Boosting European Infrastructure and Local Support

Europe is known as one of the largest and fastest-growing markets for clear aligners globally. To better service local clinical professionals, Smartee has been enhancing its regional infrastructure. In 2024, the company established a manufacturing facility in Madrid, Spain, which functions as a strategic hub for production and distribution across Europe.

In October 2025, Smartee further solidified its presence by launching a subsidiary in the United Kingdom and establishing its European Orthodontic Clinical Support Center in Stoke-on-Trent. This center offers treatment planning services, case analysis, and technical support, adhering to European clinical standards.

To ensure that training remains relevant and rooted in the local context, Smartee continues to collaborate closely with key opinion leaders and educators in the region. Together, they develop training programs tailored to the specific clinical needs of European orthodontists. This commitment indicates Smartee's ambition to not only lead in innovation but also foster local expertise and support systems for orthodontic professionals across Europe.

Overall, Smartee's presence at EAS 2026 marks a significant step toward further integrating their cutting-edge solutions into the European orthodontic landscape, demonstrating the company's dedication to enhancing patient care through advanced technologies.
