Learn Illustrator Basics from Material Creation Vol. 2 - Create SNS-Compatible Icons & Design Materials". This event will take place over four days, from June 4 to June 25, 2026, with a total duration of eight hours.

The seminar aims to support beginners in mastering Adobe Illustrator, a powerful software for designing graphics like logos, icons, illustrations, posters, and web designs. This time around, participants will focus on creating simple flyers suitable for website design. The first half of the course will cover the essential operations of Illustrator, while the latter half will involve producing eye-catching icons and graphic materials that can be shared on social media.

Course Overview:

• - Session 1 (June 4):

1. Learn to draw straight lines, curves, and corners using the Pen Tool.
2. Trace photos to create illustrations with the Pen Tool.

• - Session 2 (June 11):

3. Use the Pathfinder feature to create pictograms by combining shapes.
4. Use the Warp feature to deform text to design logos.

• - Session 3 (June 18):

5. Create patterns using the Repeat function.
6. Import and utilize material created in Illustrator within Photoshop.

• - Session 4 (June 25):

7. Create SNS icons.
8. Design eye-catching ads for SNS.

The seminar is open to anyone looking to learn the basics of Illustrator or enhance their foundational skills. It's especially beneficial for those interested in crafting images suitable for social media platforms.

Instructor Profile:
The seminar will be led by Mai Shimauchi, a freelance illustrator who graduated from the Japan Institute of Design in 2008. Her extensive experience spans working in CG production for television, and since 2013, she has been involved in producing flyers, novelties, and video editing. She has also worked on graphics for Fuji TV's program "Mr. Sunday".
