Dive into School Memories with 'The Staff Room'
CHOCOLATE Inc., led by President Yusuke Watanabe and located in Shibuya, Tokyo, is thrilled to announce their latest exhibit, "The Staff Room," commencing on November 15 in Iidabashi, Tokyo. This limited-time interactive exhibition allows visitors to delve into the nostalgic essence of a school staff room. Tickets for the exhibition will be available for purchase starting today.
The exhibit is the brainchild of the creative team behind the popular "The Summer Vacation Vending Machine" initiative by Suntory, which captivated audiences with a staggering 10,000 people on the waiting list in August 2024. Set in an actual school site, the exhibit will recreate a unique middle school staff room from 15 years ago. The attendees will not only observe the display but will also have the opportunity to sift through teachers' materials, student submissions, and other artifacts, ensuring a rich and immersive experience. This new approach to exhibitions allows visitors to enter the "staff room" they've always dreamed of exploring.

Experience the Unique Exhibit
The showcase centers around a fictional middle school that opened in 1954. Initially filled with life, the school boasted 454 students at its peak but gradually declined in enrollment, eventually closing its doors in 2010 after 56 years of operation. The only remaining students at closure were a mere 27 from the first year.
The content displayed during this exhibition is purely fictional and unrelated to any real school, individuals, or events.
Exhibit Content
The exhibit will include a variety of items: class journals, class schedules, lifestyle notebooks, teaching materials, student submissions, forgotten items, and confiscated belongings. Visitors can handle these artifacts firsthand, providing a unique tactile experience.

About the Creative Team
The team also created the renowned "Summer Vacation Vending Machine" event held in August 2024. At this event, participants experienced a time jump to the last day of summer vacation 20 years ago through a seemingly ordinary vending machine. The immersive experience brought back vivid childhood memories, garnering thousands of views on social media and selling out tickets instantly, leaving a significant waiting list.
Insights from the Team
According to Masato Onodera from CHOCOLATE Inc., the inspiration for the staff room exhibit stemmed from experiences of entering the teachers' room only to remain curious about what lay inside. Visitors will have the chance to engage with the school environment physically and emotionally. He encourages attendees to reminisce about their middle school days and even visit with old classmates, making for a delightful trip down memory lane.
