Primrose Schools® 2025 Year in Review
In a remarkable display of community engagement, Primrose Schools®, a leading provider of early education and care, has made significant strides in philanthropy throughout 2025. With over 560 independently owned schools across the nation, the organization's commitment to generosity has led to substantial donations amounting to over $605,000, alongside nearly 500,000 essential items distributed to local communities in need.
Commitment to Community Support
As part of the initiative known as the
Primrose Promise℠, integrated within the renowned
Balanced Learning® curriculum, students at Primrose® schools participate in hands-on service-learning experiences that span the entire year. This approach nurtures essential character development skills and instills a sense of community involvement in young learners.
David Berg, CEO of Primrose Schools, emphasizes, "What sets Primrose Schools apart is the compassion and generosity demonstrated by Franchise Owners, students, families, and staff every day. Together, we are dedicated to making a meaningful difference in the communities we serve while positively shaping the next generation of compassionate and community-minded leaders."
The 2025 Primrose Promise showcases several impactful highlights:
Monetary Donations
The entire network of Primrose schools contributed over
$605,000 in monetary donations, a significant portion of which was generated from the annual
Spring Fling community event and various philanthropic initiatives across the system.
The figures reveal that more than
$335,000 of this funding directly targeted the
Primrose Schools Partnership for Children℠ program, which works to enhance early learning, health, family support, and community partnerships.
Collection of Essential Items
In addition to financial support, Primrose students, families, and staff worked together to gather nearly half a million essential items aimed at assisting children and families experiencing difficult circumstances. The contributions collected during the
Caring Giving Food Drive included:
- - Non-perishable canned food and pantry staples
- - New and gently used books from the Og's Bountiful Book Drive
- - Clothing, toys, diapers, wipes, and school supplies collected through various seasonal drives and community service events.
Local Community Partnerships
Beyond these charitable efforts, Primrose schools invested
$516,000 into local community partnerships, collaborating with nonprofit organizations and cultural institutions in major metropolitan areas. Notable contributions included:
- - Donations exceeding $40,000 to assist families affected by severe floods in Texas.
- - Partnering with the North Carolina Diaper Bank to supply over 43,000 diapers for families in crises in Raleigh-Durham, N.C.
- - Serving as the local sponsor for the St. Jude Walk in Tampa, where Primrose families were encouraged to unite for the fight against childhood cancer.
Kristin Bernhard, Executive Director of Corporate Social Responsibility and Public Advocacy at Primrose Schools, notes, "The combined philanthropic efforts of Primrose schools, families, and community partners illustrate the importance of collaboration on behalf of all children. This collective momentum helps build a future where every child can flourish."
The Mission Forward
The Primrose Promise initiative continues to reinforce its mission to pave pathways toward brighter futures for all children. By empowering Franchise Owners, students, and families, along with Primrose Support Team members, the initiative inspires acts of service that vitalize communities.
