Since its inception in
2019, MEGURU has become a celebrated bidding event emphasizing diverse Japanese art, encompassing genres such as modern Japanese paintings, Western art, calligraphy, prints, and crafts. Now held four times a year, this auction continues to curate and exhibit selected works from across the country to both domestic and international audiences.

Ito Jakuchu's Remarkable 15-Point Exhibit
This auction features a notable
15 pieces by the renowned Edo-period painter, Ito Jakuchu. Such a concentration of Jakuchu's works is extremely rare, and it has garnered significant attention in the art market. Of particular interest is his piece titled
"Dragon Painting". Unlike the widely recognized upright dragon depicted in the
Akita City Chūn Museum, this artwork showcases a dragon in profile, adorned with intricately crafted scales - a perfect example of Jakuchu's exquisite technique and unique expression.
