Its ambitious visuals and originality captivated viewers, especially in premium formats like IMAX, RPX, and 4DX. “The film's success underscores audience interest in immersive viewing experiences,” Acuña noted, as 50% of Regal's total box office for the movie was drawn from premium large format showings.

Such efforts have attracted moviegoers, with 37% of total admissions for Project Hail Mary fulfilled by premium formats.
