Sungrow and ENEVO Group's 1GWh Agreement Marks a Sustainable Era in Romania

Sungrow and ENEVO Group Collaborate for Romania's Energy Future

In a significant advancement for renewable energy solutions, Sungrow, a leading provider of photovoltaic (PV) inverters, and ENEVO Group, one of Romania's foremost energy solution providers, have formalized a groundbreaking contract. This partnership entails the delivery of energy storage systems with a total capacity of 1 Gigawatt-hour (GWh), set to greatly enhance Romania's energy transition.

The Project Breakdown

The collaboration is being initiated in two phases. The first phase focuses on realizing energy storage projects amounting to 440 Megawatt-hours (MWh), which have already been commissioned at the beginning of this year. These projects are expected to be completed by December 2026. Following this, the second phase aims to address the remaining capacity of 560 MWh. All energy storage systems will utilize Sungrow's state-of-the-art PowerTitan 2.0 technology, ensuring grid stability and the successful integration of renewable energy sources.

Meeting Growing Demand in Europe

This joint effort reflects the rising demand for flexible, reliable, and secure energy storage options across Europe, highlighting Sungrow's commitment to large-scale energy storage solutions. The PowerTitan series is already making waves in several European countries including the UK, Germany, Spain, Greece, Italy, Sweden, Finland, Cyprus, and Bulgaria, where it has proven its effectiveness under diverse grid and market conditions.

A Vision for Strategic Collaboration

"Successful partnerships begin with shared visions, common goals, and a clear understanding of market developments. Our cooperation with Sungrow started in the solar sector and has now evolved into a broader strategic partnership. We are expanding this further with our 1-GWh battery storage agreement," stated Radu Brașoveanu, CTO and co-founder of ENEVO Group. The partnership serves to integrate battery storage systems with the generation of renewable energy effectively.

James Li, Vice President of Sungrow Europe and responsible for ESS, added, "The trust of our partners forms the foundation of our continuous growth. We are excited to work with ENEVO Group on this landmark 1-GWh project portfolio in Romania. Our team will support the projects through all phases—from design and delivery to commissioning—ensuring long-term project success and strengthening energy resilience."

Strengthening Market Position

Through this strategic agreement, Sungrow further solidifies its market presence in photovoltaic (PV), energy storage systems (ESS), and power electronics. The deal also enhances Sungrow's footprint in one of the most dynamic energy storage markets. According to BloombergNEF, Sungrow is recognized as the most bankable provider of energy storage systems worldwide.
