Kushikatsu Tanaka Achieves Record Sales Since Its Founding 17 Years Ago

Celebrating Success: Kushikatsu Tanaka's Record Year

As Kushikatsu Tanaka marks its 17th anniversary, the company has achieved outstanding results by significantly increasing its annual sales figures. In a remarkable milestone for 2025, about 54% of the existing 313 stores in Japan reported record sales. Among them, the Osaka-based "America Village Store" set a new record by achieving a sales figure of over 200 million yen ($2 million), reaching a total of 201,819,019 yen, since its opening in March 2016.

The Key to Growth: Customer Engagement Without Price Increases

In an industry where price hikes have become commonplace, Kushikatsu Tanaka has notably pursued growth without relying on them. Out of the 313 stores opened until 2023, over half have reached their highest annual sales to date. The success can be mostly attributed to the popularity of the “Unlimited Garlic Hormone Skewers,” which generated a buzz on social media platforms, achieving cumulative sales exceeding 14 million skewers.

This highly regarded menu item not only enhanced repeat visits from existing customers but also attracted a new clientele, significantly boosting overall customer numbers.

Though the “Unlimited Garlic Hormone Skewers” were discontinued at the end of last year, they left a lasting impression. To carry on their legacy of flavor and excitement, starting January 2026, Kushikatsu Tanaka introduced two contrasting flavors in the new series: the “Rich and Thick Unlimited Dote Miso Hormone Skewers” and the “Refreshing Unlimited Yuzu Ponzu Hormone Skewers.” Currently, the series has seen cumulative sales surpassing 17 million skewers.

A Milestone for the America Village Store

The America Village Store, known for its authentic kushikatsu offerings, has set the bar high by amassing record earnings. In October 2025, the store achieved its highest monthly sales, clocking in at 21,498,390 yen, marking a significant milestone for Kushikatsu Tanaka as the first location to surpass the 200 million yen mark in annual sales.
