DXC Technology Enhances Collaboration with PoloWorks to Boost New Insurance Syndicates

DXC Technology Partners with PoloWorks

In a significant move to accelerate the development of new insurance syndicates, DXC Technology (NYSE: DXC) has announced an expanding partnership with PoloWorks, a Lloyd's managing agent that excels in providing vital support services within the London insurance market. This collaboration sees PoloWorks integrating DXC's innovative Assure Commercial Specialty platform to streamline operations and enhance efficiencies for newly established syndicates.

A Revolution in Syndicate Operations

Since their partnership began in 2023, DXC and PoloWorks have focused on modernizing syndicate operations using a cloud-based framework. The Assure Commercial Specialty platform is designed with cutting-edge technology, offering an API-enabled interface that is inherently flexible and features no-code configurability, allowing syndicates to easily adapt as they evolve.

The platform provides immediate access to contemporary tools that support swift establishment and scaling of syndicates. This collaboration aims to eliminate prior inefficiencies by allowing syndicates to bypass the cumbersome process of software management and maintenance triggered by individual investments in these areas.

As a result of this innovative strategy, the barrier to launching new syndicates—often significantly hindered by time and resource allocation—has been substantially reduced. Paul Andrews, CEO of PoloWorks, emphasized the impact of DXC's offerings, stating, "With Assure Commercial Specialty, we can equip our syndicates with the technical foundation necessary to commence operations effectively right from the outset."

Enhancing Operational Efficiency

The Assure platform delivers various operational advantages, enhancing digital workflows while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Syndicates can expect to launch within just a month, capitalizing on an intuitive system designed to boost productivity from day one. This framework mitigates risks associated with launching new operations in a traditionally complex insurance market, thereby allowing syndicates to focus on core underwriting activities.

With continued advancements in a tech-driven ecosystem supported by DXC, PoloWorks not only assists Lloyd's syndicates but also caters to insurers and Managing General Agents (MGAs). The partnership's goal is to unlock potential capabilities across all aspects of insurance processes, including pre- and post-bind transactions, claims management, finance, and analytics—all while ensuring a smooth user experience through a high degree of configurability.

Chris Kirby, DXC's Global Product Director, commented on the partnership's significance, noting that it pushes for modernization within the Lloyd's market, enabling managing agents and syndicates to thrive in a dynamic environment. Kirby stated, "Together, we are focused on reducing complexity, streamlining onboarding, and fostering growth through advanced technology offerings."

Trusted Industry Partner

Having established a commendable reputation over 40 years in the sector, DXC Technology is recognized as a trusted partner in the insurance landscape. The company processes over 50% of transactions in the London insurance market, continually innovating to ensure brokers and (re)insurers streamline their operations. With over one billion policies processed using DXC software, the company remains committed to enhancing operational efficiencies and cutting costs through technology.

As PoloWorks expands its infrastructure and capabilities via DXC's strategic support, the insurance market stands poised for transformative growth. The collaboration represents a leap towards modernizing key operational processes that drive success in the industry, solidifying both companies' commitments to facilitating sustained growth in the financial landscape.
