About 'Robocube'

'Robocube' combines computer skills with mechanical blocks to offer robotics programming classes for elementary school students.
  • - Note that this is not a place meant for mastering any specific programming language.
  • - Classes utilize the visual programming software “Scratch Pi”, coupled with the ‘TEC Cubic’ educational material, which combines mechanical and electronic blocks for a truly interactive learning experience.
  • - The curriculum includes building tangible objects, like traffic lights or fans, allowing students to learn the workings of things around them while fostering logical thinking and non-cognitive abilities.

The Background of the 'Robocube' Initiative

Daikoku Denki Co. has been dedicated to exploring the potential of connecting robotics with society since establishing a specialized department in 2018. Our formal initiatives in programming education for elementary students launched in 2019. Since November 2022, we have operated a permanent pilot classroom at our Sakashita facility in Aichi Prefecture. The expansion of franchise classrooms commenced in Aichi Prefecture in 2024, with nationwide recruitment starting in 2025.

The programming education began at schools in 2020, focusing on the belief that programming serves as a means to develop logical thinking and problem-solving skills, thereby empowering children to thrive in society.
Furthermore, these initiatives are aligned with our sustainability goals, addressing key issues of 'Promoting Talent Utilization' and 'Providing Innovative Solutions' while contributing to the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) related to quality education and infrastructure development for innovation.
