At the recent Upperside World Congress 2026, Huawei took a significant step in reshaping telecommunications by unveiling its
Next-Generation Wide Area Network (NG-WAN) white paper. This event, celebrated during the IP-Gala summit themed "Next-Generation WAN – Boosting New Growth for Carriers," gathered prominent industry leaders, including the WBBA and the IPv6 Forum, to discuss the transformative vision for IP networks by 2030.

John Cai, President of the Router Domain in Huawei's Data Communication Product Line, emphasized the necessity for a multifaceted approach in NG-WAN, focusing on three pillars:

fiber state monitoring to mitigate the challenges imposed by emerging technologies, such as 5G and intelligent computing. Turkcell's innovations are setting new standards for the next-generation carrier IP networks, driving advancements in efficient operations and maintenance.

Xu Huan, Huawei's Vice President of the Router Domain, shared insights about how the NG-WAN framework aims to converge different services by integrating network, computing, and security capabilities into an eco-friendly ultra-broadband foundation leveraging 400GE/800GE technologies.
