What is UaFloors?

UaFloors utilizes internationally patented FIR (Far Infrared Radiation) technology to incorporate nano-sized minerals into hardwood flooring. The surface resembles natural wood and provides the ability to emit infrared rays from the human body, making it suitable for high-value health-conscious homes.
Kida Construction Materials has been the exclusive importer and distributor for UaFloors in Japan since 2023.

Key Features

1. Far Infrared Technology
UaFloors emits far-infrared rays with wavelengths ranging from 8 to 13 µm, as confirmed by evaluation organizations. These wavelengths resonate well with water molecules and are thought to activate biological cells, showing promising potential benefits for conditions related to illness, autonomic nervous disorders, and sleep health in various studies around the globe.

The nano-sized minerals integrate deeply within the wood, providing enduring far-infrared effects. Homeowners can benefit from this simply by living in spaces adorned with UaFloors.

2. Aesthetic Appeal
The design of UaFloors ingeniously highlights natural wood characteristics from a variety of species, offering different styles from traditional to contemporary themes. Additionally, the flooring is designed with a wider width of 190mm, providing unique originality in living spaces. Designed in 2008 in Taiwan, the floor has garnered appreciation not only in Asia but also in the Middle East and America, with its installation in luxury properties such as the Burj Khalifa and premium condominiums. Trusted for both design and function, its appeal extends to the high-end hotel 'The Anandhi Hotel & Spa' in Shanghai.

3. Basic Performance
Utilizing silver ions in its nanotechnology, UaFloors offers assurement against viruses and bacteria. It also boasts a slip resistance value of CSR-D at 0.59, outperforming typical flooring, thereby reducing the risk of injury for pets.

Market Background

Japan has seen a decline in new home constructions, a trend forecast to continue into 2024 as the numbers drop to approximately 792,000 units (as per the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism). However, there is a growing demand for high-value options infused with health consciousness and pet-friendly features, which is propelling interest in UaFloors and driving this expansion.

Future Developments

As the popularity of health-conscious living rises, UaFloors aims to cater to customers seeking healthier environments, making the concept of recovery floors a standard expectation. The new launches in the Japan Collection will enhance experiences for more customers. Kida Construction Materials is committed to enhancing the product lineup while accommodating feedback from users to ensure their offerings are well-suited to the Japanese market.
