Launch of Free Paper 'Kurasu to Hataraku' by Non-Profit Polaris on April 25

The Launch of 'Kurasu to Hataraku'

On April 25, 2025, the Non-Profit Corporation Polaris will release a free paper titled 'Kurasu to Hataraku' (Living and Working), which translates its mission of discovering unique lifestyle and work approaches into the publication. With the underlying theme of "Finding Your Own Way of Living and Working," the paper aims to inspire readers to consider their life choices and individual paths. It will profile people living and working in various settings, showcasing their unique stories and experiences.

Founded in 2012, Polaris has contributed to innovation across various communities through a concept they call "Loco-working." This approach emphasizes connecting the concepts of living and working within one's local area by leveraging a person's love and pride for their environment. The free paper will highlight individuals and initiatives that forward a sense of community and shared purpose, encouraging readers to cultivate attachments to their neighborhoods while working towards a shared future.

The premiere issue will focus on Chofu, the city where Polaris is headquartered. A dialogue between Tomohiro Karashina from Patchworks LLC and Polaris’s co-representative Masami Otsuki will reflect on their connections to the community. Furthermore, the publication will introduce a range of individuals who uniquely live and work in Chofu, deepening readers' engagement with their surroundings.
