Bridgestone Sports Unveils TOUR B X/XS Golf Balls
Bridgestone Sports Corporation is set to release the latest models of its renowned TOUR B X and XS golf balls on February 6. Known for meeting the high-performance demands of top golfers worldwide, these new golf balls will be available at an open price.
The TOUR B X/XS models are engineered to enhance the standout performance of "distance and control" that professionals crave. Utilizing the core design philosophy of "Speed & Spin Control Technology," these balls deliver high initial speeds with low spin during full shots, while providing low initial speeds and high spin for approach shots. This remarkable combination allows golfers to execute shots with precision, moving the ball effectively and accurately to the target.
One of the key advancements in this iteration is the incorporation of a new chemical formulation in the "ST Hydro Core" combined with the highest rigidity inner cover, the "ST Inner Cover," in Bridgestone’s history. This synergistic effect aims to create strong trajectories that can handle windy conditions, enabling golfers to hit their targeted lines consistently. The heavier inner cover increases the Moment of Inertia (MOI) across the entire ball, stabilizing spin in the air while enhancing both distance and trajectory stability and ensuring better roll on the greens during putting.
Furthermore, the continuation of the "Reactive iQ Urethane Cover" along with the "Slipless Bite Coating" enhances the feel and feedback golfers experience on approach shots. Renowned players, including Tiger Woods, can attest to the improved sensation of control and depth provided by these features, allowing for the intended performance in getting closer to the hole. Additionally, these covers have been recognized for their durability and resistance to scratches, earning significant praise from professional players across the board.
Both models cater to different performance needs: the TOUR B X is exceptional in distance, while the TOUR B XS excels with spin characteristics. Together, these offerings support golfers in achieving peak performance at the tour level.
Bridgestone continues to push the boundaries in golf by employing analytical techniques honed through tire development to advance product engineering and service offerings. The company remains committed to enabling golfers to perform at their best and enjoy the game even more, serving those who aspire to improve their play and deepen their love for golf.
