The development of this series started in 2024, prompted by an insight from a local producer in Obihiro, Hokkaido. It was noted that flower yields were low due to extreme summer heat and frequent downpours, compromising the primary harvest. Nevertheless, it turned out that the rosehip fruits were still successfully harvested. This led the SHIRO team to re-evaluate their relationship with the rosehip fruit, choosing to embark on a journey to better understand its unique qualities.

During our taste-testing sessions, team members exclaimed, "It's sour and delicious!" upon trying the rosehip for the first time. Each part of the plant—the petals, stems, leaves, and the fruit—was assessed for quality and flavor, leading to our team’s realization that tasty ingredients translate to skin-friendly benefits. The delicate aroma of the petals and the tartness of the fruit created a delightful sensory experience, inspiring SHIRO to harness the essence of these remarkable ingredients into their products.
