GAC Accelerates European Expansion with AION Models at Milan Design Week

GAC Sets Foot in Europe with AION Models at Milan Design Week

On April 8, 2025, GAC made a significant mark during the renowned Milan Design Week, showcasing its focus on European expansion. This year, the event celebrated GAC's third consecutive appearance at the global design industry’s pinnacle, where visionary art meets culture, and cutting-edge technology merges with fashion.

At Milan Design Week, GAC premiered the AION UT in Europe, while also bringing back the AION V. Two new models emerged during this event, including the concept car from their Car Culture series, CC4. Furthermore, GAC announced the theme for the 2025 GAC Design Award titled "Beauty of Tomorrow II AI Works." Executives like Zhang Fan, the Director of GAC Design, and Thomas Schemera, General Manager of GAC International, engaged in meaningful dialogues with guests and media about GAC's design philosophy, European market plans, and the roadmap for its advanced design center in Milan.

Thomas Schemera emphasized the company's goal of enhancing production through design, aiming to deliver products with outstanding design, superior quality, and state-of-the-art technology, thereby providing European consumers with enhanced mobility experiences.

Immersive Exhibition

GAC transformed Via Tortona 16 into an immersive exhibition space, combining bold design with advanced technology. The spotlight was on two global strategic models: the AION UT and AION V, both featuring elegant silhouettes, refined contours, and meticulously crafted bodies. The AION UT, developed at GAC’s advanced design center in Milan, harmonizes Italian design aesthetics with local market preferences. It includes the world's first eyebrow-inspired headlights, a central touchscreen measuring 14.6 inches, an 8.88-inch digital display, L2 intelligent driving assistance, high-strength sidewalls, and a spine-shaped body structure, all surpassing European safety standards. Its second-generation magazine battery enables rapid charging from 30% to 80% in just 24 minutes and has been built to withstand impacts.

The AION V also returns to Europe, providing a driving experience that exceeds expectations with its second-generation magazine battery. It includes an ultra-long 2.3-meter side air curtain, forming a highly secure "mobile fortress" for passengers.

During Milan Design Week, GAC International also outlined its European market strategy with the vision of: "In Europe, for Europe, integrating with Europe, serving Europe, and contributing to Europe.” The upcoming launches of the AION UT and AION V in Europe, along with models from the AION and Hyptec brands, are anticipated to make significant strides into the Polish market by the third quarter of 2025, facilitated by a strategic partnership involving Jameel Motors.

As GAC continues to innovate and expand, its presence at Milan Design Week exemplifies the company's dedication to melding striking design with advanced automotive technology, setting the stage for remarkable growth in the European market.
