Join the LOVE OCEAN Beach Cleanup Event!
On January 17, 2026, the
LOVE OCEAN project will hold a significant beach cleanup event at two locations in Kanagawa Prefecture:
Yuigahama Beach in Kamakura and
Kozu Fishing Port in Zushi. This initiative, led by the special nonprofit organization Riviera Future Project, aims to create a sustainable future in harmony with the ocean. Joining hands with the community, actor
Megumi Watanabe and mixed martial artist and pro wrestler
Minowaman DZ will participate in these activities, helping to raise awareness and preserve our marine environment.
About the LOVE OCEAN Project
Launched to address the vital question, "How can we connect the ocean to our future?", the LOVE OCEAN project seeks to build relationships between people, the ocean, and communities. It aims not only to enhance marine conservation but also to promote sustainable economic development in the region, marking its sixth year of impactful actions this year. This beach cleanup forms part of a larger movement that spans the 110-kilometer-long Shonan Coast, from Miura to Yugawara, fostering local and environmental connections.
