SANY's Core Equipment Shipment for the First Wind Project in Latin America

SANY's Journey into Latin America's Wind Energy Market

SANY Renewable Energy Co., Ltd., a publicly listed enterprise under the SANY Group, has recently made significant strides in advancing renewable energy in Latin America. The company has successfully shipped essential equipment for its inaugural wind project located in Chile, specifically known as the PURRANQUE project, which boasts a capacity of 18 MW. This milestone shipment originated from Tianjin port in China and is a testament to SANY's commitment to energy transition on a global scale.

As the region's leader in renewable energy, Chile has a bold aspiration: to generate 70% of its electricity from renewable sources by 2030. The country is well-equipped with exceptional wind resources and a clear political framework that fuels the demand for wind energy equipment. To meet the unique geographical and climatic conditions of Chile, SANY has tailored its technical solutions to assure reliable operations in complex environments.

This shipment is not a first for SANY. Since accelerating its global outreach in 2022, the company has set up local branches and teams in various regions, including Europe, South Asia, Central Asia, and Africa, establishing an extensive delivery system that spans major global markets. Currently, the SANY Group operates 17 manufacturing bases outside China, having more than 900 service centers and nearly 1,000 spare parts warehouses, ensuring a comprehensive global competitive edge.

SANY's robust capabilities extend throughout the entire value chain, encompassing research and development, design, product validation, intelligent manufacturing, and reliable supply and delivery. These competencies are supported by cutting-edge facilities, such as the world's first advanced factory for manufacturing smart blades in the wind energy sector, and China’s largest and most sophisticated six-degree-of-freedom system test bench rated at 35 MW.

In the heavy machinery sector, SANY has notably delivered a 400-ton hydraulic mining excavator, the SY4000H, to an international client, marking a significant achievement in the high-end global mining equipment market. Furthermore, the company has also introduced its large-size mining excavator, the SY1250H, in Europe, where it is currently operational in an open-pit coal mine.
