Despite more than 90% of organizations reportedly using AI for talent acquisition, a mere 5% claim to experience transformational outcomes. The report titled “The New Talent Equation: Building Better Talent Decisions,” commissioned by ManpowerGroup Talent Solutions and developed by Everest Group, highlights the disconnect between AI implementation and effective talent decision-making. While many companies have adopted AI technology, the anticipated benefits in hiring decisions have largely failed to materialize.

Gap Between Adoption and Impact


A significant finding from the research indicates that 54% of organizations believe that AI-assisted candidate behaviors complicate the accurate assessment of a candidate’s true abilities. Moreover, although 39% report some improvements, these are primarily limited to operational efficiencies, rather than better hiring decisions. This raises questions about the overall efficacy of AI tools currently in use.

Key Barriers to Transformation


The study outlines several key barriers hindering successful AI utilization in hiring:
