TrinaTracker Launches New Manufacturing Facility in Saudi Arabia to Boost Solar Solutions Localization
TrinaTracker's New Manufacturing Venture in Saudi Arabia
TrinaTracker, a prominent name in the realm of intelligent solar tracking solutions and a subsidiary of Trinasolar Co. Ltd., has recently unveiled its plans to establish a manufacturing plant in Saudi Arabia. This strategic move is aimed at enhancing the company’s localization efforts and improving service delivery in the Middle East region. The new facility is set to commence operations in the first quarter of 2025, marking a significant step in TrinaTracker's ongoing commitment to invest in local infrastructures and capabilities.
Strategic Location
The manufacturing plant will be situated in one of Jeddah's industrial zones, specifically the third industrial city, under a land lease agreement with the Saudi Authority for Industrial Cities and Technology Zones (MODON). This location strategically positions TrinaTracker within a region that has become a major player in the solar tracker market, thanks to its vast land area and optimal solar irradiation conditions. With an expected annual production capacity of 3 GW, the facility will focus on manufacturing TrinaTracker's flagship Vanguard series solar trackers and intelligent control systems.
Growth in the Solar Market
The Middle East is witnessing a surge in solar energy initiatives, and as a result, it has become one of the vital markets for solar tracking technologies. TrinaTracker's intelligent solar tracking solutions are designed with features that uphold reliability and efficiency, especially in challenging environments characterized by sand, high winds, and extreme heat. The Vanguard tracking system, backed by intelligent control mechanisms, has proven capable of enhancing energy production by up to 8% annually, significantly increasing the internal rate of return for project owners.
Enhancing Regional Services
This new facility aligns with Trinasolar's broader strategy to elevate service levels across its regional operations. The manufacturing site will enable faster product delivery and improved technical support, ensuring comprehensive pre-sales and post-sales services. A dedicated service team will be provided to facilitate training programs and on-site assistance, further cementing Trinasolar's partnership with its clients and support for local businesses.
TrinaTracker's existing international presence includes manufacturing facilities in China, Spain, and Brazil. The new plant in Saudi Arabia does not only boost its local footprint but also reaffirms the company’s commitment to meeting global demand for solar energy solutions through innovation and operational excellence.
As of the end of Q4 2024, TrinaTracker has successfully delivered 27 GW of intelligent solar tracking systems globally. The new manufacturing plant is expected to further fortify their efforts in providing not only superior intelligent solutions but also localized support to customers worldwide, ensuring enhanced service quality and accessibility.
Indeed, as TrinaTracker forges ahead with its localization strategy, it sets a robust foundation for future expansion and innovation in the solar energy sector, marking a new chapter in the company’s illustrious journey of technological advancements and regional partnerships.
