A Journey of Resilience

The transformation of Tengtou can be traced back to the community's enduring spirit and progressive leadership. The recent chapter of its success narrative began in late 2016 when Fu Qiping, the then Party committee secretary, fell ill. This unexpected shift created uncertainty among the villagers as development projects stalled. However, Fu Pingjun, who succeeded him, rose to the challenge. Recognizing the urgency to stabilize public trust, he pledged at a villagers' meeting that the benefits established by his predecessor would remain intact. As a sign of his unwavering commitment, he vowed not to cut his hair until promised objectives were achieved.

This simple yet powerful gesture inspired hope and revitalized community morale. In a matter of months, under his leadership, several projects were initiated, including a sightseeing train and an agricultural innovation center, revitalizing the village and restoring faith among the residents.
