Men's Eyebrow Salon Lab Opens in Nagano
In a significant move for local grooming culture, the first regional store of Men's Eyebrow Salon Lab, operated by Arrows Plus Inc., is set to open on June 5, 2026. This marks a momentous occasion, as the founder Takabayashi Yoshinari, a native of Nagano, fulfills a long-held dream of establishing a salon in his hometown, following the success of the brand that has already expanded to nine locations primarily in the Kanto region.
A Dream Come True for the Founder
Takabayashi, who graduated from Matsusho Gakuen High School in Nagano, began his entrepreneurial journey during his final year at university, opening the first salon in the vibrant Ebisu-Daikanyama area of Tokyo in 2021. Since then, he has established a reputation in the male grooming industry, with over 45,000 visits recorded across salons. His aspiration to create a space for men's grooming in his hometown is inspired by the realization that a well-groomed appearance can enhance not just one’s looks, but also boost confidence and expressiveness.
“I have always dreamed of opening a store in my hometown, Nagano. Through my experiences in Tokyo, I realized that grooming, especially eyebrow shaping, can bring joy and confidence to individuals. I want to share this with the people of my hometown and eventually foster a culture where eyebrow grooming is a natural part of men’s grooming routines,” says Takabayashi.
A New Chapter at a Historic Location
The new salon will occupy a space formerly home to the beloved hobby shop 'Suzukake', which served the community for over 40 years. The site, located in the Nishiki Denki Building just a five-minute walk from Nagano Station, is infused with nostalgia that the new salon aims to merge with a modern grooming experience. The location is chosen not just for its convenience but also for its emotional significance to the local populace.
The overlap in clientele between those who fondly remember 'Suzukake' and the salon's target demographic (men aged from their 10s to 50s) brings a unique connection, aiming to transform what was once a childhood memory into a contemporary grooming sanctuary.
A Comfortable Space for Men
At the Men’s Eyebrow Salon Lab in Nagano, clients can enjoy complete privacy while receiving their grooming treatments, thanks to individual rooms designed exclusively for male visitors. The salon’s proximity to Nagano Station makes it highly accessible—ideal for men looking to stop by after work or before heading out on weekends.
The salon's goal is to shift the perception that grooming is exclusively a female domain and to foster an environment where men can feel comfortable and at ease pursuing their grooming needs.
Proven Success Backed by Numbers
In April 2026, the Men's Eyebrow Salon Lab achieved remarkable recognition by winning the title for the top salon in the Kanto region and placing second nationally. These accolades, as part of the STEKiNA awards that honor salons and beauticians, are a testament to their commitment to quality, with a rating of 4.7 and a repeat customer rate of 88%, showcasing the trust customers place in their services.
New and returning clients alike will be delighted by the professional staff, each of whom has passed a rigorous selection process, ensuring that every individual receives personalized eyebrow designs tailored to their face shape and desired aesthetic.
Special Opening Campaign
To celebrate its grand opening, the salon is offering limited-time introductory pricing starting at just 4,500 yen. This includes a special offer for students under 25 and a first-time customer rate of 4,980 yen.
