Banking Academy of Vietnam and Vantage Foundation Unite to Promote Financial Education

Strategic Alliance to Strengthen Financial Education

On December 16, 2025, a significant milestone was achieved as the Banking Academy of Vietnam (BAV) and Vantage Foundation solidified their partnership by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in Hanoi. This collaboration is aimed at enhancing financial education, a necessity in today's ever-evolving financial landscape.

Ceremony Highlights

The signing ceremony saw attendance from key leaders at both institutions, including Dr. Pham Thi Hoang Anh, interim president of BAV, and Adam Siew, Vice President of Business Development at Vantage Foundation. Their opening remarks set the stage for future cooperative ventures focused on education and capacity building.

The sessions began with a formal reception, where attendees were welcomed and introduced to the strengths and missions of both BAV and Vantage. Informative videos were presented, reinforcing the collaborative vision shared by both parties, emphasizing long-term human capital development.

Commitment to Education

Dr. Pham Thi Hoang Anh’s opening speech reiterated BAV’s dedication to working with international partners to elevate the quality and relevance of academic programs in financial education. Adam Siew emphasized the increasing importance of education in nurturing talent capable of meeting the needs of a data-driven and technology-focused financial sector. He highlighted the essential role of education in sustainable development, especially as artificial intelligence and data analytics transform decision-making in finance.

Key Areas of Collaboration

The MoU outlines collaborative initiatives, including the joint development of educational programs, mobilization of international experts, and coordinated communication efforts to promote the value of financial education. One of the initial programs planned is a one-day course titled "Financial Data Analysis and Decision-Making in the Age of AI." Scheduled for late February or early March 2026, this course will take place at BAV with online participation available for attendees from other cities.

Participants will receive a certificate upon completion, and the program aims to engage leading universities across Vietnam, enhancing the learning experience and reach of financial education.

Future Outlook

The formal signing of this agreement not only establishes a robust framework for collaboration but also marks a critical step toward a more knowledgeable financial workforce in Vietnam. Although the ceremony was primarily an official announcement of the strategic alliance, it sets the groundwork for future courses and initiatives designed to build skill sets relevant to the modern financial ecosystem.
