Ota City Hosts Its First Official Match Linked to J-League

On July 5, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Ota City will be buzzing with excitement as it hosts its very first official soccer match that connects to the J-League. The event will take place at the Morigasaki Park Soccer Field and Futsal venue, featuring engaging activities for all ages and fostering community spirit through soccer.

The evening will kick off with a futsal session from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM, providing a chance for everyone to enjoy the beautiful game. Following the futsal, there will be a farewell ceremony for player Koki Ando at 6:45 PM, displaying local talent and commitment to nurturing the sport. The main event, a match between Omori FC and FLUTTO-FLUTTO, will commence at 7:10 PM. To make the experience even more thrilling, there will also be a lottery draw during the event.

Omori FC, which is supported by Localheroes Co., Ltd. and led by representative Naoto Kojima, aims to create a professional soccer team within Ota City that brings the same excitement as the World Cup annually. As a community-centric sports club, Omori FC has been steadily developing and nurturing local talents, having produced players like Aiwa Oyama from Manchester City Women’s and Koki Ando, who recently made a stunning transfer from Mito Hollyhock to Royal Antwerp FC in Belgium.

A Club Loved by the Community

Omori FC strives to be a club that is both loved and needed by the community. The goal is to elevate the happiness of residents through sports, ensuring they enjoy life with rich spirits, ultimately contributing to the realization of WELL-BEING communities. The club operates as a local hero and resource with the support of Localheroes Co., Ltd.

Naoto Kojima, the representative and head coach of Omori FC, shared his thoughts: "In the midst of the excitement surrounding the World Cup, those of us involved in the sports industry must not exploit the power of sports but instead enhance its value as a means for individuals to live fulfilling lives. To achieve this, strong and concentrated energy is necessary, and fostering a community spirit like in many foreign nations is effective. Ota City has great potential, yet lacks stadium facilities and a community focused on such goals. While Morigasaki Park Soccer Field isn’t specifically designed for this concept, our priority is to allow everyone to experience local sports entertainment, generating feedback and enthusiasm to continue this journey. I sincerely hope this will not be the first and last event; we want to ensure a splendid match and maintain operational continuity as managers."
