In an exciting event held in Abu Dhabi on January 28, 2025, Orfali Bros Bistro in Dubai was honored as the Best Restaurant in the Middle East and North Africa, as part of the MENA's 50 Best Restaurants awards, sponsored by S.Pellegrino & Acqua Panna. This marks the third consecutive year that this outstanding establishment has claimed the top spot.

Founded in 2021 by the talent Orfali brothers—Mohammad, Wassim, and Omar—Orfali Bros Bistro has carved a niche for itself within Dubai's vibrant culinary scene. The restaurant splendidly fuses the Aleppan heritage with the dynamic flavors of Dubai, which has earned it a spot in The World's 50 Best Restaurants list for 2023 at No. 46. This latest award solidifies its status as a powerhouse in the global dining arena.

The event was organized in collaboration with the Department of Culture and Tourism of Abu Dhabi, culminating in a night of celebration for the culinary stars of the region. The prestigious award recognizes not just the quality of the food and service but also the dedication and passion that the Orfali brothers impart into their offerings.

William Drew, the Content Director of MENA's 50 Best Restaurants, expressed his enthusiasm about recognizing Orfali Bros Bistro again, highlighting that the restaurant’s sustainable success is a testament to the brothers’ hard work. “Their dedication has garnered them a loyal following, both locally and internationally,” Drew noted during the event.

In addition to the top award, the evening also celebrated various esteemed winners from across the region. Three other notable recognitions included the Icon Award for Omar Shihab from Boca, and Tala Bashmi's triumph at the Estrella Damm N.A. Chefs' Choice Award. Carmen Rueda Hernández was also recognized as the Best Pastry Chef in MENA, marking another highlight of the celebration.

The rankings showcase a diverse representation from 11 different cities throughout the Middle East and North Africa, including vibrant culinary spots like Marrakech, Beirut, and Riad. Each winner reflects the rich variety and depth of flavors that define MENA's gastronomic landscape.

Other notable establishments that ranked closely to Orfali Bros Bistro include Trèsind Studio at No. 2 and Kinoya at No. 3. Khufu's from Cairo secured the No. 4 spot, also recognized as the Best Restaurant in Egypt.

The impactful role of restaurants in enhancing the local dining experience is echoed in the awards ceremony, as it shines a light on the growing culinary talents of the region. Row on 45 in Dubai also made waves by moving up 24 spots to claim the Highest Climber Award, now standing at position No. 17.

In addition to the accolades presented, the ceremony acknowledged Dara Dining by Sara Aqel in Amman for the Highest New Entry Award, reaching No. 18 in the rankings. The night was not just about honoring the winners but also aimed to promote the culinary culture across the MENA region, fostering a greater appreciation for diverse cuisines and the intricate skills of chefs.
