Introducing the Inspiring 2025 Ambassadors of St. Baldrick's Foundation
The 2025 Ambassadors of St. Baldrick's Foundation
The St. Baldrick's Foundation, noted for being the largest charity contributor to childhood cancer research grants, is proud to introduce its 2025 Ambassadors. These five children, along with their families, aim to share their extraordinary journeys and lived experiences dealing with childhood cancer, emphasizing the importance of funding for vital research.
Each year, St. Baldrick's selects five Ambassadors from the 400,000 children diagnosed with cancer worldwide. Through their stories, they aim to raise awareness and highlight the critical need for resources to continue developing advanced treatment for childhood cancer, ultimately saving lives.
Meet the 2025 Ambassadors
1. Sage – A relatable first grader, Sage enjoys superhero stories, sports, and playing with cars. After being diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) at four years old due to leg and back pain, he faced substantial treatments. Although he achieved remission, the challenges continued with persistent cancer cells and health issues. Sage is set to ring the bell marking the end of his treatment in May 2025, looking forward to brighter days ahead.
2. Jackson – This adventurous seven-year-old, who delights in Halloween festivities, sports, and Marvel characters, recently endured a startling diagnosis. Following a minor accident that uncovered a tumor in his leg, Jackson faced a daunting battle against Ewing sarcoma over eight intensive months, including 14 chemotherapy rounds and subsequent surgeries. Today, he is disease-free, though regular scans remain part of his new normal.
3. Aiden – Remembered as a witty and enthusiastic child who loved sports and performing arts, Aiden's diagnosis of stage 4 embryonal rhabdomyosarcoma in 2008 altered his life dramatically. Despite his young age, Aiden viewed cancer as an opportunity to learn and educate others about its challenges. Even with the hardships including relapse, his story inspired those around him, leaving a legacy of hope and resilience after his passing.
4. Kaylee – A typical middle schooler with a fondness for popular culture, Kaylee faced an abrupt change when an accident led to a diagnosis of osteosarcoma, a form of bone cancer. Through a challenging journey involving numerous treatments and surgeries, including a rotationplasty, she’s turned adversity into empowerment. Having recently completed her treatment, she now embraces her passions like dancing and dreams of baking in the future.
5. Morgan – At 20, Morgan has come a long way since her diagnosis of a rhabdoid tumor at eight years old. After resiliently enduring rigorous treatment regimens, she continues her academic pursuits with plans to inspire the next generation as a teacher. Her journey reflects both the personal triumphs over cancer’s long-term effects and the ambition to support others in similar situations.
These inspiring Ambassadors remind us that childhood cancer remains a pressing issue, affecting many and claiming the lives of one in five diagnosed in the U.S. Follow their uplifting stories through the St. Baldrick's blog and social media platforms such as Facebook, X, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, and LinkedIn.
