Maison Delamain Unveils Folio Natura: A Journey of Taste Through Generations

Maison Delamain Introduces Folio Natura

The Maison Delamain, deeply rooted in a nine-generation legacy of curiosity about nature, has recently unveiled its latest creation, Folio Natura. This new offering showcases a contemporary approach rich in fruity tones, inviting connoisseurs and everyday drinkers alike to explore its unique profile.

A Unique Blend from Grande Champagne

Folio Natura is a masterful blend composed of three grape varieties sourced exclusively from Grande Champagne, the premier cru region renowned for its exceptional Cognacs. The primary grape used is Ugni Blanc, which provides a solid structure. Complementing this are Colombard, contributing delightful fruitiness, and Folle Blanche, renowned for its freshness and finesse. Together, these varieties create a harmonious balance that is both vibrant and sophisticated.

The eaux-de-vie are aged for a minimum of six years in old oak barrels, allowing for a slow and meticulous maturation process. This careful aging occurs in a warehouse near Charente, reflecting the Maison’s commitment to quality and tradition.

Flavor Profile and Sensory Experience

Folio Natura is defined by its intense generosity and fruit-forward character. The aromatic precision, characteristic of Grande Champagne eaux-de-vie, reveals a rich and expressive profile. Upon experiencing it, the nose is greeted with alluring notes of white flowers and vineyard aromas, swiftly transitioning to crisp orchard fruits enriched by nuances of bergamot and lemon zest.

On the palate, freshness and elegance are paramount, showcasing flavors of verbena and linden, culminating in a long and refined finish. This intricate flavor journey embodies the Maison Delamain's commitment to crafting exquisite spirits that resonate with both nature and artistry.

A Tribute to Natural History

The inspiration driving Folio Natura stems from the enduring passions for nature fostered by the Delamain family through generations. The lineage's fascination is echoed in the "Livres de Nature," a collection established by Jacques Delamain in 1930. Today, the master cellar and ninth-generation representative, Charles Braastad, continues to honor this legacy.

Folio Natura, shaped by time and dedicated observation, reflects a sensitive and demanding approach to the world of nature, remaining true to the spirit of Maison Delamain.
