T. Rowe Price Expands Insurance Business with Strategic Hires

T. Rowe Price Expands its Insurance Division with New Talent

T. Rowe Price, a prominent global asset management firm, has taken a significant step in its expansion of the insurance business with the recent recruitment of three seasoned professionals. This move is aimed at bolstering their presence in the insurance sector, which has been a key focus for the firm as they continue to adapt to evolving market demands.

Mark Rose, a highly experienced figure in the insurance industry, has been appointed as the Insurance Solutions Strategist. He will join the firm's fixed income division, bringing with him a wealth of experience that will facilitate enhanced account management and business development. Previously, Rose served as the Chief Investment Officer at Argo Insurance Group, where he was crucial in managing investment portfolios encompassing strategic asset allocation and risk management. His prior roles also included working as a high yield credit analyst at Goldman Sachs, where he was involved in derivatives sales. Rose's educational background includes graduating from the United States Military Academy and completing the U.S. Army Ranger School. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA®) charterholder.

Joining Rose are Chase Uhlein and Blayze Hanson, both taking on the role of Senior Insurance Relationship Managers within the Americas Institutional Business Development team. Uhlein comes from J.P. Morgan, where he held the position of Executive Director of Fixed Income Insurance Solutions. With more than 12 years of experience in the insurance market, he has a solid track record in servicing and sales, particularly in the general account segment. Uhlein holds a Bachelor of Arts in economics from Hamilton College and is also a CFA® charterholder, along with being a registered representative in various series.

Hanson, the third new hire, also brings a wealth of experience as he transitions from his previous role as Vice President and Insurance Account Manager at PIMCO. With over a decade of experience in insurance sales and services, he adds significant expertise to the team. Hanson graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics from Loyola Marymount University and earned his MBA from the University of Southern California. Like his colleagues, he is a CFA® charterholder and registered representative.

Ben Riley, who recently assumed the role of Head of Insurance at T. Rowe Price, expressed his enthusiasm about these new additions. He stated, "We are thrilled to welcome Mark, Chase, and Blayze to our insurance business at such a pivotal time in the growth of this sector. Their addition strengthens our sales coverage and deepens client engagement, reinforcing our focus on service excellence."

T. Rowe Price has made notable strides in the insurance market, managing approximately $1.70 trillion in client assets, a significant portion of which is retirement-related. This expansion in hiring not only signals the firm’s commitment to the insurance sector but also reflects its strategic approach to providing value to its clients.

The firm's culture is built on integrity and prioritizing client interests, allowing millions of investors around the globe to navigate through challenging market conditions successfully. T. Rowe Price has long been recognized for its investment excellence and deep commitment to independent research, qualities that underpin its mission to deliver better investment outcomes for clients.

As the insurance sector continues to evolve, the strategic positioning of T. Rowe Price, complemented by the addition of experienced talent, is likely to serve as a critical advantage in maintaining its competitive edge.
