Chubb Limited Announces Key Leadership Changes

Chubb Limited, a leading global insurance company, revealed significant shifts in its leadership structure for the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) as well as North America regions. The company has appointed Ana Robic as the new Regional President for EMEA, taking over from David Furby, who transitions into the role of Executive Chairman of the same region. In another notable change, Melissa Scheffler is promoted to succeed Robic as Division President of Personal Risk Services (PRS) in North America.

New Roles and Responsibilities

In her new capacity, Ana Robic will take on executive operating responsibilities for Chubb's extensive business operations across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, which includes overseeing the United Kingdom and continental Europe. Robic, who has been with Chubb since 1999, previously served as the Division President for Personal Risk Services North America, where she demonstrated notable leadership and operational success.

Robic will report directly to Paul McNamee, Executive Vice President and President of Chubb Overseas General Insurance. McNamee highlighted Robic's extensive experience and respected leadership as vital assets for Chubb as it pursues growth initiatives in these critical markets.

David Furby, who has spent nearly three decades in the insurance sector and has been a key figure within Chubb, transitions to an oversight role where he will be tasked with strategic governance for the EMEA region and will chair the Underwriting Risk Committee of Chubb's European Group Board. His leadership over the past seven years has seen substantial growth in the business, positioning Chubb as a robust contender in the international insurance market.

Recognition of Talent Mobility

Reflecting on these appointments, Juan Luis Ortega, Executive Vice President of Chubb Group and President of Chubb North America, noted Robic’s exemplary track record in North America, which emphasizes Chubb's commitment to fostering global talent mobility within its ranks. He commended Robic for consistently achieving strong operational results and significant improvements since she took charge of PRS North America in 2021.

Following Robic’s promotion, Melissa Scheffler, who has been a part of Chubb since 1994, will take over as Division President of PRS. With her extensive background in underwriting, sales, and management across various regions, Scheffler is well-positioned to lead the team and continue driving the business forward. Ortega expressed confidence in Scheffler’s abilities to elevate PRS, citing her proven record of achieving new milestones during her time with Chubb.
