Royal Caribbean Group (NYSE: RCL), a leader in the global vacation industry, has announced an important transition in its board leadership that is expected to reshape its future direction. Richard Fain, who has been at the helm as Chair of the Board of Directors since 1988, will step down from his role in Q4 of 2025. Fain will remain involved with the company as a Director, ensuring that his decades of experience and guidance continue to influence the organization during this period of transformation. The Board of Directors has elected Jason Liberty, who has served as the President and CEO since January 3, 2022, to succeed Fain as both Chairman and CEO starting in the fourth quarter of 2025.

Additionally, John Brock, who has been on the Board of Directors since 2014 and currently chairs the Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee, is stepping into the role of Independent Lead Director. His experience as a former CEO of large corporations like Coca-Cola Enterprises and InBev is expected to support the company’s ongoing growth and governance in this new chapter.
