This year marks the revival of the much-loved runway cake, after a three-year hiatus. Originally conceived not by the pastry chefs but from another department's suggestion, this unique cake first premiered in 2016 and quickly gained popularity for its inventive design.

The theme of the cake is inspired by the magical Christmas nights at Haneda Airport, vividly depicting a runway adorned with airplanes. It features an impressive chocolate plate on its side, showcasing a beautiful rendering of Haneda Airport and a whimsical airplane made of chocolate soaring off the cake’s runway.

The runway section is an exquisite mousse, crafted from chocolate, caramel, and hazelnut praline, enhanced by a crunchy texture from the chocolate feuilletine accents. This year, to celebrate its triumphant return, the cake has been perfected to deliver a classic taste that delights long-time fans.

In addition to the runway cake, the hotel offers two other festive options: the traditional shortcake and the popular airplane cream puff, making a total of three Christmas cake varieties available for guests. 3. Airplane Cream Puff (Christmas Version)
