Exciting Preliminary Results from Jaguar Uranium's Huemul Project in Argentina
Jaguar Uranium Corp. has recently made headlines with the announcement of preliminary surface sampling results from its Huemul Uranium-Copper-Vanadium (U-Cu-V) Project, situated in the province of Mendoza, Argentina. This project's potential is already becoming evident, as initial assays from channel and rock chip samples show encouraging signs of mineralization.
Significant Findings from Surface Sampling
During a two-week field exploration campaign, Jaguar submitted a total of 200 samples including channel and rock chip samples, which targeted the project's most promising areas. The results have yielded exciting grades, notably exceeding the upper detection limit for both uranium and copper, with values reported at over 25,000 parts per million (ppm). Further verification of these over-limit samples is pending.
Among the remarkable findings, some samples reportedly contained:

- - 1.27% vanadium
These results underscore the project's potential for economic viability, given that historical average head grades reported values of
0.21% uranium,
2.0% copper, and
0.11% vanadium.
The identification of a potential 4-kilometer copper trend is another exciting aspect of this discovery, suggesting significant mineralized zones yet to be uncovered. Historical mine dumps in the vicinity were also sampled for the first time, which adds a layer of validation to the exploration efforts.
The Huemul Project's Historical Context
The Huemul Project is built upon the foundation of Argentina's first-ever producing uranium mine, operational from 1955 until 1975. It processed approximately 130,000 tonnes of mineralized material, with a history that echoes the potential still contained within the mining district. Despite previous operations, much of the Malargüe Mining District is untested using modern methods, raising hopes for new discoveries.
Exploration Method and Standards
Samples were meticulously collected from eight targeted areas including Huemul Mine, Uryco, and Cerro Mirano. The sampling involved a variety of techniques, ensuring comprehensive data collection that will help guide future exploration efforts. These included selective sampling based on visible mineralization, making the immediate results particularly promising, albeit potentially biased.
In terms of quality assurance, the Jaguar team took measures to ensure reliability in data handling. They included six blank samples and six duplicates in their QA/QC program, the results of which will be reviewed to ascertain their validity. Notably, while some discrepancies were noted among duplicates, the findings remain a strong indication of the site's potential.

Despite the promising initial results, Jaguar Uranium emphasizes that explorers should exercise caution. The current findings are exploratory and do not yet confirm the presence of economic mineral resources or reserves under the National Instrument 43-101 framework.
