Kawachinagano City Partners with Oikura for Efficient Waste Management
Collaboration for a Sustainable Future
As the year-end approaches, the demand for disposing of unwanted items rises significantly. In response, Kawachinagano City in Osaka Prefecture has initiated a partnership with Market Enterprise Inc., to address local challenges through the reuse business. Starting December 16, 2025, this alliance aims to create a recycling system using the Oikura platform that promotes reusing items instead of discarding them, thereby facilitating waste reduction in Kawachinagano City and contributing to the establishment of a circular economy.
Background and Development
Kawachinagano City has undertaken various initiatives aimed at achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including collection programs for dishes, children's clothing, and free distribution events.
