Planet Hollywood Hotel & Casino Opens Georgia's First Integrated Resort in Tbilisi

Planet Hollywood Hotel & Casino Launches in Tbilisi

Planet Hollywood Resorts International has made a significant entry into the Georgian market by announcing its first fully integrated resort in Tbilisi. This venture, realized through a collaboration with Orbi Group and Block Group alongside Iconic Entertainment, promises to infuse the dynamic essence of the brand into the vibrant heart of Tbilisi.

The ambitious project is currently under construction and is set to feature a luxurious 1,200-room campus that includes the 500-room Planet Hollywood Hotel & Casino as well as a 600-room Radisson Blu hotel. The resort will not only present an impressive 50,000-square-foot casino, but also a 4,000-seat venue for entertainment and events, and a staggering 70,000 square feet dedicated to retail spaces with major brands like Harvey Nichols. Additionally, a variety of international dining and nightlife options are planned, aiming to set a new standard for hospitality in one of Europe's most rapidly growing tourist destinations.

Expected to create over 2,000 permanent jobs, this project aims to catalyze economic growth in Tbilisi, thereby enhancing the city’s global stature. Tbilisi is characterized by its stunning hillsides and rich historical tapestry, a setting that marries tradition with contemporary vibrance. The city’s unique blend of hospitality and cultural richness makes it an ideal location for such an ambitious project.

Robert Earl, the founder of Planet Hollywood, commented on this exciting development: “This marks a pivotal moment in the global evolution of the Planet Hollywood brand. Tbilisi is a city bursting with character and growth momentum. Together with our partners, we’re crafting a destination that merges entertainment with authentic hospitality and immersive experiences.”

Tornike Janashvili, the CEO of Block Group, highlighted the impact of this integrated resort on Tbilisi’s global positioning, affirming that it will attract an influx of international tourists. Irakli Kvergelidze, CEO of Orbi Group, expressed pride in bringing such a notable brand to Georgia, envisioning a tourism and hospitality landscape enhanced by this development.

The Tbilisi establishment follows the success of Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas and aligns with the brand's approach to expanding into promising international markets. Mark Advent, a prominent figure in casino and hotel development, noted his long wait for an opportunity to collaborate with Robert Earl.
