In September 2026, Seasats made headlines by securing more than $24 million in new contracts dedicated to serving U.S. national security objectives. Their compact size permits easy transport in the back of a pickup truck and allows for quick launches from a boat ramp by just two individuals.

The increasing mixture of outright procurement and RaaS contracts allows the U.S. government to establish both immediate ownership of maritime technologies while also enabling access to continuous sensor coverage. This innovative approach permits government agencies to benefit from Seasats’ expertise in operating and maintaining the USVs, thereby freeing them to focus on core missions.
