2025 Global Artificial Intelligence Machines and Electronics Expo Kicks Off in Macao and Zhuhai

2025 Global Artificial Intelligence Machines and Electronics Expo (AIE)

The prestigious 2025 Global Artificial Intelligence Machines and Electronics Expo (AIE) recently commenced, hosted by the China Electronics Chamber of Commerce (CECC). The inaugural ceremony took place on December 4, 2025, at the Venetian Convention and Exhibition Center in Macao. Esteemed dignitaries like Cen Haohui, Chief Executive of the Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR), and Meng Fanli, Governor of Guangdong Province, were present at this significant event.

The expo, themed "Bay Area Intelligence, globally embraced," aims to bridge innovations and companies from both domestic and international markets. The event is being conducted simultaneously in two major locations—Macao and Zhuhai—with a plethora of supporting activities. The Macao venue emphasizes intelligent electronics, featuring three dedicated halls: the Intelligent Communication and IoT Hall, the Intelligent Audio-Visual and Metaverse Hall, and the Venture Capital New Concept and International Exhibition Hall. In contrast, Zhuhai’s exhibition centers around intelligent machinery, including the Intelligent Equipment and Industrial Internet Hall, the Intelligent Transportation and Future Mobility Hall, and the Smart Home and Wellness Hall.

Following the opening ceremony, attendees were treated to an enlightening keynote forum. Noteworthy speakers included Dan Shechtman, a Nobel Prize-winner in Chemistry, and Wang Zhonglin, a Foreign Member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS). During the event, a significant white paper titled "Development of Global Intelligent Machinery and Electronic Products Industry: Wisdom Initiates the Future" was unveiled. This document sheds light on the current state and future prospects of the intelligent machinery and electronics sector.

One of the standout features of the expo is the "Macao Innovation and Technology" section, which garnered considerable attention. This area showcases the research and industrialization achievements of over 50 innovative technology firms and four higher learning institutions. The focus lies on burgeoning fields such as artificial intelligence, smart healthcare, and the Internet of Things (IoT). Additionally, a series of themed events are scheduled throughout the expo to further highlight these advancements.

Wang Ning, President of the CECC, articulated his vision for the expo as a vital communication platform for global entities in the electronic products and intelligent manufacturing domains. He asserts that fostering such gatherings is essential for integrating enterprises into the global industrial chain and facilitating international collaboration.

The expo has received support from the Department of Commerce of Guangdong Province and the Department of Industry and Information Technology of the same province, running through to December 6. As the event unfolds, it is poised to unveil new collaborations and innovations in the realms of artificial intelligence and electronics, further establishing China’s pivotal role in the global tech landscape.
