Hoymiles Launches HiOne Energy Storage System in Canada at ETC 2026

At the prestigious Electricity Transformation Canada (ETC) 2026 convention in Toronto, Hoymiles unveiled its HiOne all-in-one residential energy storage system, a move that marks their first entry into the Canadian market. This innovative technology is joined by the introduction of the HoyUltra 261A, a commercial and industrial (CI) energy storage system, both aimed at supporting the region's evolving energy demands.

As Canadians increasingly seek energy autonomy, backup power, and better control over their electricity expenses, the HiOne system stands out as a comprehensive solution for residential energy management. This device integrates an inverter, battery system, and Energy Management System (EMS) within a single unit, designed for easy installation that can take as little as 15 minutes.

Tailored to adapt to various rooftop conditions, the HiOne comes with four Maximum Power Point Trackers (MPPTs) and a maximum input current capacity of 20A. This design ensures effective solar power generation, accommodating different roof angles and shading conditions. The device also features seamless backup switching, guaranteeing that essential household appliances remain operational even during power outages.

Safety is paramount in the design and operation of the HiOne. The system has undergone rigorous safety certifications from TÜV and VDE and boasts compliance with UL 9540A standards. During extensive testing for thermal runaway, the results confirmed that any issues would remain within the triggered cell, preventing further risk to the module and maintaining a safe operational environment.

In addition to the HiOne, Hoymiles presented the HoyUltra 261A, which serves CI applications by combining battery storage, power conversion, and intelligent cooling systems. One notable feature is its adaptive liquid-cooling system, which adjusts operations based on the ambient temperature and overall system performance. This capability is particularly advantageous for businesses in Canada, where temperature variations can be significant, especially during harsh winters.

Moreover, the intelligent scheduling of charge and discharge cycles can help businesses manage energy use more effectively, enabling them to benefit from off-peak electricity rates and optimize their overall energy consumption. Hoymiles also showcased their solar microinverter solutions, which include the HMS single-phase and HMT three-phase series. These products are designed to maximize solar power output and enhance safety through a low-voltage DC architecture.

At the ETC 2026 event, Hoymiles engaged with various industry partners and installers, reinforcing its commitment to providing reliable and efficient energy solutions tailored to the needs of both residential and commercial sectors. As it continues to build and strengthen local partnerships across North America, Hoymiles aims to facilitate the transition to renewable energy and foster greater adoption of solar technologies for homes and businesses alike. With the HiOne and HoyUltra 261A, Hoymiles is poised to play a significant role in Canada's energy future, helping residents and companies alike to manage their energy needs with innovation and safety at the forefront.
