Gary Engel embarked on his career journey in prestigious media roles at renowned corporations such as Paramount, A+E Networks, and Warner Bros. Discovery. His leadership at A+E Networks was particularly noteworthy, where he advanced the marketing analytics department, achieving record levels of audience engagement and growth through strategic data utilization. Most recently, as the Chief Marketing Officer at FreeCast, Engel led initiatives that ensured extraordinary subscriber growth and solidified the company's status within the competitive streaming market.

A Personal Commitment to Israel

Beyond his professional prowess, Engel has a deep-rooted personal commitment to Israel. He and his wife, Julie, have three daughters, one of whom recently made aliyah and currently serves as a combat medic in the Israel Defense Forces (IDF). Engel expressed that his new role transcends a mere career advancement; it resonates on a personal level as he seeks to inspire support for the Jewish homeland.

In Engel's words, "My career has revolved around motivating audiences to engage with leading media brands, but uniting people for a cause that supports our land and people in Israel is an unparalleled endeavor. Joining JNF-USA represents a purposeful journey that I am truly proud of."

Welcoming Engel to the Team

Russell F. Robinson, the CEO of Jewish National Fund-USA, warmly welcomed Engel, emphasizing that his vast experience in strategic marketing and brand development will bolster connections with current supporters while igniting interest among new generations. Robinson highlighted Engel's deep dedication to Jewish causes and his engagement with Zionist initiatives, which sets him apart in this leadership role.

In his capacity as CMO, Engel is expected to oversee JNF-USA’s comprehensive marketing and communications strategy. This includes managing a variety of initiatives rooted in Zionist education, community development in Israel, and advocacy for world-class institutions, such as the Galilee Culinary Institute and the Alexander Muss High School in Israel.
