On August 4, 2023, ALSOHK Corporation’s Johoku Branch formalized an agreement aimed at enhancing community welfare and safety by collaborating with local residents and various organizations. This initiative focuses on ensuring that residents in familiar neighborhoods can continue to live securely and comfortably.

During the signing ceremony, Yosuke Yamada, the branch manager of ALSOHK, exchanged the agreement with Takeshi Sakamoto, the mayor of Itabashi Ward. The mayor emphasized the necessity for the district to address diverse community issues and explore effective partnerships with private entities. He expressed a commitment to work towards making Tokyo the most desirable place to live.

The agreement aims to complement existing community support efforts, which include collaborations with social workers, local police, fire departments, and other institutions. These organizations have long provided monitoring services for the elderly, helped prevent abuse of children and individuals with disabilities, and supported the search for missing persons due to dementia. By including private companies like ALSOHK in these initiatives, the district hopes to facilitate quicker responses to community needs and enhance the overall situation for its residents.

For many years, ALSOHK has been entrusted with the elderly emergency notification system project in Itabashi Ward. They utilize various monitoring devices for welfare checks, ensuring the safety of vulnerable populations is prioritized.

Furthermore, the ALSOHK Group engages in public service efforts such as raising awareness about illegal parking around train stations and conducting neighborhood patrols to enhance community safety. The organization also participates in local events where they educate the public about emergency procedures, particularly in the use of AEDs (Automated External Defibrillators). There are also initiatives aimed at educating children through anti-crime courses and teaching the importance of emergency medical aid.

Currently, the ward has 13 similar agreements in place with various companies, as part of a broader strategy to enhance local community support and ensure that Itabashi is recognized as a top living destination in Tokyo.
