Grabss Supports Digital Transformation for the 2025 OCR100m Championships in Japan
In a move to revolutionize the sports sector, grabss, a Tokyo-based company specializing in digital solutions, is partnering with the Japan Obstacle Sports Association (JOSA) to innovate the management of athletic events. This collaboration is set to make waves during the upcoming
2nd OCR100m Japan Championships / OCR100m World Series, scheduled for
October 18, 2025, in Yoshinogawa City, Tokushima Prefecture. This highly anticipated event, marking the first-ever OCR100m World Series in Japan, will see elite athletes from around the globe compete.
About the Event
The 2nd OCR100m Japan Championships will highlight the fast-paced and challenging nature of obstacle course racing (OCR), a thrilling new sport that is gaining traction globally. This event will take place at the
JOSA-certified Obstacle Sports Yoshinogawa Course, nestled in the stunning natural landscapes of Yoshinogawa. As athletes tackle the 100m course, they will not only be racing against time but also pushing the boundaries of their physical limits.
JOSA, as a recognized member of the International Obstacle Sports Federation (FISO) headquartered in Lausanne, Switzerland, is the sole governing body for obstacle sports in Japan. The sport has recently gained attention as it is set to be featured in the
2028 Los Angeles Olympics as part of the modern pentathlon.
During this event, ambassadors of obstacle sports will showcase their skills for qualifying positions in the
2026 OCR World Championships, which will be held in Ireland from
August 7 to 9. The outcomes from this event will play a pivotal role in selecting the athletes who will represent Japan on the world stage.
Grabss’s Role and Digital Initiatives
As JOSA's Digital Transformation (DX) partner, grabss is implementing the
TIGET online entry system and reconstructing JOSA’s official website to strengthen its digital foundation. This transformation allows for a seamless online process for athlete registration, on-site management, and overall event efficiency, enhancing the experience of all participants.
