His international experience in leading diverse teams for developing advanced membrane applications has prepared him to make an immediate impact at Momentum.

Prior to Seppure, Dr. Choong was the Vice President of Product Management at Gradiant. There, he spearheaded the commercialization of the Counterflow Reverse Osmosis process, crafting advanced solutions for wastewater treatment and resource recovery. Throughout his career, he has held various leadership positions that have seen the market deployment of advanced membrane technologies, meaning that his track record reflects a robust capacity for innovation and effective product management.

Dr. Choong’s academic credentials are equally impressive. He earned his Ph.D. in chemical engineering from the prestigious Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), where he focused on groundbreaking research into water purification techniques utilizing advanced membrane technologies. Further solidifying his expertise, he also obtained a master’s degree in chemical engineering practice from MIT, and an undergraduate degree in chemical engineering from the University of Minnesota.

In addition to his impressive professional journey, Dr. Choong holds several patents in advanced membrane technologies and his research has been published in high-impact scientific journals, such as the Journal of Membrane Science. His contributions are recognized and valued in the scientific community, particularly in the areas of water purification and recycling processes.
